Learn Computer Science with Minecraft

Led by Tutor Tony

Did you know you can build a computer inside Minecraft? In this beginner-friendly workshop, students learn how computers think in 1s and 0s by building real redstone circuits. Levers become switches, lamps become outputs, and by the end of class they can count in binary from 0 to 7 with just three switches.

🎓 Ages 13–16 ⏱ 60 min, live online 📅 Saturdays, 10–11 AM Central No coding experience needed

What students do

  • Tour how redstone works like an electrical circuit
  • Learn how computers use on/off signals to store information
  • Build alongside the class inside a shared Minecraft world
  • Leave knowing what they learned and what comes next

What you need

  • A computer with Minecraft Java Edition installed
  • A stable internet connection
  • Log in 5 minutes early for a quick tech check

Bedrock, console, and tablet versions won't work for this class.

See dates & register → Registration is on Eventbrite. We'll email the video call link and Minecraft world details before class.
