Dr. Jorge A. Cantú holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Northwestern University and has spent over a decade in higher education working to make learning more accessible, more human, and more effective. He built Tutor in the Loop because he has studied how the brain learns — and he knows the research is clear: the presence of a skilled, caring human being on the other end of a lesson changes everything.
Learning is not just a rote memorization of facts — it is a culmination of rich experiences between the learner, the teacher, and the material. This does not disappear when learning happens online. The computer is the tool, the human is the teacher.
