Read and acknowledge each document. All three are required to submit.
Section 1 โ Nature of the Relationship. You are engaged as an independent contractor, not an employee. You retain full control over your instructional methods, curriculum, and teaching style. You may work for other platforms and may decline any session request.
Section 2 โ Services. You provide live online tutoring through the TITL marketplace. You agree to maintain accurate Cal.com availability, appear for confirmed sessions, and conduct sessions professionally.
Section 3 โ Compensation. You set your own rate. TITL retains a 20% platform fee per session. The remainder, less Stripe processing fees, is deposited to your Stripe Express account. You are solely responsible for all taxes on your earnings.
Section 4 โ Scheduling. You control your availability entirely through your Cal.com account. TITL does not assign shifts or require minimum hours.
Section 5 โ Cancellations. 24+ hours advance: full refund to family, no compensation to you. Less than 24 hours: partial refund at TITL discretion. Family no-show: you are compensated in full. Your no-show: full refund to family, no compensation to you.
Section 6 โ Confidentiality. You shall not disclose family or student information to third parties or solicit TITL clients outside the platform for 12 months following termination.
Section 7 โ Student Safety. All sessions must be conducted professionally and in an age-appropriate manner. Recording without consent and inappropriate communication are grounds for immediate termination.
Disclosure. Tutor in the Loop LLC may obtain a consumer report (background check) about you through Checkr, Inc. The report may include criminal history, sex offender registry status, and identity verification.
Your Rights. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act you have the right to know if your report was used against you, to obtain a copy of your report, and to dispute inaccurate information. If adverse action is taken you will receive a pre-adverse action notice and a waiting period of at least 5 business days before a final decision.
Illinois Residents. Under the Illinois Human Rights Act, criminal history may only be used in contractor decisions if substantially related to the position's duties.
Authorization. By checking below you authorize TITL and Checkr, Inc. to obtain a consumer report. Your SSN will be collected directly and securely by Checkr โ not by TITL. You will sign the full standalone FCRA form before your check is initiated.
Professional Conduct. All sessions must be conducted professionally, safely, and in an age-appropriate manner.
Accuracy. All credential and biographical information submitted must be truthful. Misrepresentation is grounds for immediate removal.
Availability. You are responsible for keeping your Cal.com availability current. Confirmed bookings must be honored.
Communication. You may not solicit direct business outside the platform during the term of your agreement or for 12 months following termination.
Reviews. You may not solicit, pressure, or incentivize reviews. All reviews are moderated by TITL.
