Written Response
In 3-5 sentences, explain how you would describe prompt engineering to a 14-year-old who has never heard the term before.
Write naturally and in your own voice. We are looking for clarity, warmth, and the ability to make technical concepts accessible -- not a textbook definition.

Short Bio
Write in first person. Be genuine and approachable -- remember your audience is parents of teenagers.

Platform Setup

Your scheduling and video links. Must be active before you go live.

Scheduling -- Cal.com
Setting up Cal.com for Loop Tutors
Create a free account at cal.com. Create two event types -- one for Loop Foundation (45 min) and one for Real World Looping (flexible 15-60 min). Add your video link to both. See the TITL template at cal.com/tutorintheloop/loop-foundation for reference. Full instructions are in your Loop Tutor Onboarding Packet.

Video Platform

Payments -- Stripe Express
Stripe Express is set up after approval
You will receive a Stripe Express invitation by email after your application is approved. Loop Foundation sessions pay $60 (your 80% of $75). Real World Looping sessions pay $36 (your 80% of $45). Stripe handles your 1099-K at year end.

Background Check
A background check is required for all Loop Tutors.
You will receive a standalone FCRA Disclosure and Authorization form after your application is reviewed. Checkr, Inc. conducts all checks. Your SSN goes directly to Checkr -- never to TITL.
I understand a background check is required and consent to this process.
Step 4 of 6
📄

Agreements

Read and acknowledge each document. All three are required.

Independent Contractor Agreement Required

Nature of Relationship. You are an independent contractor, not an employee. You control your own instructional approach within the TITL Loop Tutor framework. You may work for other platforms and may decline any session request.

Services. You deliver Loop Foundation and Real World Looping sessions to teens ages 13-18 through the TITL platform. You maintain accurate Cal.com availability and appear for confirmed sessions.

Compensation. Loop Foundation sessions pay $60 (80% of $75 flat rate). Real World Looping sessions pay $36 (80% of $45 flat rate). Stripe processing fees are deducted before payout. You are solely responsible for all taxes on your earnings.

Student Safety. All sessions must be conducted professionally and in an age-appropriate manner. Sessions are with minors -- you agree to maintain strict professional boundaries at all times. Recording without consent and inappropriate communication are grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to authorities.

Confidentiality. You shall not share student or family information. You shall not solicit TITL families outside the platform for 12 months following termination.

The TITL Approach. Loop Tutors are introduced to the TITL approach to AI fluency education. This is a framework, not a script -- you retain full professional judgment in how you deliver sessions.

I have read the Independent Contractor Agreement and agree to its terms.
FCRA Background Check Disclosure Required

Disclosure. Tutor in the Loop LLC may obtain a consumer report through Checkr, Inc. covering criminal history, sex offender registry status, and identity verification.

Your Rights. Under the FCRA you have the right to know if your report was used against you, to obtain a copy, and to dispute inaccurate information. If adverse action is taken you will receive a pre-adverse action notice and at least 5 business days before a final decision.

Working with Minors. Because Loop Tutors work one-on-one with students ages 13-18, background screening is non-negotiable. TITL takes student safety seriously.

Illinois Residents. Under the Illinois Human Rights Act, criminal history may only be used in contractor decisions if substantially related to the position's duties.

I have read the FCRA Disclosure and authorize a background check as described.
Loop Tutor Platform Policies Required

Student Safety First. You are working with minors ages 13-18. All sessions must be professional, age-appropriate, and focused on educational content. Zero tolerance for inappropriate communication or boundary violations.

The TITL Approach. Loop Tutors are introduced to the TITL framework for AI fluency education. You agree to familiarize yourself with this approach before delivering your first session.

Tool Agnosticism. Sessions are tool-agnostic. You do not promote or endorse any specific AI platform. You work with whatever tools the student already uses.

Accuracy. All credential and background information must be truthful. Misrepresentation is grounds for immediate removal.

Availability. You are responsible for keeping your Cal.com availability current. Confirmed sessions must be honored.

Flat Rate Pricing. Loop Foundation sessions are $75 and Real World Looping sessions are $45 -- TITL sets these prices. They are not negotiable with families outside the platform.

I have read the Loop Tutor Platform Policies and agree to comply.
Checking each box constitutes your electronic acknowledgment. You will also sign the full Independent Contractor Agreement and FCRA Disclosure form before going live. Questions: hello.tutorintheloop@gmail.com
